Neil Ross - The Voice of Benidorm
Born in Whiston, Lancashire - at the age of 8 he sang soprano in the church choir.
He later had 4 years of voice tuition and travelled around most of the Working Men's
Clubs from Scotland and the North East to Yorkshire, Lancashire and Wales for manly
years. He entertained for twelve years in Blackpool each summer season and became
known as ‘Mr Blackpool’ appearing on 2 Blackpool Command Shows. After a holiday in
Benidorm, he travelled there every Winter for a longer stint each year. He decided
to semi-retire and has now made Benidorm his home.
Once every decade or so, a singer will come along who will stand the test of time,
who will stay in your memory, whose records, tapes and CD’s you will own and treasure.
Neil Ross is such a singer, an entertainer. He not only stands out as an entertainer,
he captures his audience whatever their age. 16 -100. Neil would be at home in a
miners welfare club, a top Las Vegas venue in a West End musical or on Broadway.
All that see his act are grateful he choose to live and work in Benidorm. He is also
a very lovely person, a true gentleman. - Don’t Miss him........
