The Beagles

Rudi Fabeck

Rudi has been in the music business since he was 15 years of age. Almost from day one he started writing songs and has become a prolific song writer with around 200 songs officially credited to him.  He has recorded six singles and nine albums, some were quite successful hits in Belgium, France and The Netherlands. His first solo album recorded in 1981 was played extensively on the radio and achieved excellent reviews from the music press.

Rudi toured all over Europe for many years with a variety of pop bands the most famous one’s in Belgium and The Netherlands were the Symphonic Rock bands ‘Banzai’  and ‘Flyte’

During 1981 while living in Holland Rudi sang with the band ‘Bruno Basta’ who where a support act at large concerts for Level 42.

During 1993 after moving to Spain Rudi opened the ‘Coco Flanel’ bar in Benidorm, he was encouraged by many of the local entertainers to start singing again, it was strange for him to pick-up all the music from his ‘good old days’, of pop star fame singing his own songs. He gave it a try at the Wheeltappers club in Benidorm with great success and has never looked back.  Dene Michael from Black Lace fame and now part of Shoewaddywaddy a headline group at The Town, Benidorm encouraged  and supported Rudi early in his second career venture, helping him find the right venues.  For many years Rudi worked all over the Costa Blanca as ‘Rudi West’. Since June 2006 he got back to his roots of the pop music scene with an Eagles - Beatles tribute. Building a reputation with ‘The Beagles, working every night at  various top venues in Benidorm.

Dave Sidlauskas

Dave started his musical career in the early 70's as a drummer, after playing in various bands he formed a band called ‘Crystal Glass’ again playing drums but now using his vocal skills more. The band toured the club circuit in England and Wales for a couple of years until the guitarist had to quit.  Dave and his bass  member Ben Booth found a new guitarist  and they reformed, introduced comedy into the act and became quite successful touring the UK, and working summer seasons around the coasts. Dave worked with Jim Davidson, Lenny Henry, Paul Melber, Lenny Bennet, The Shylites,Swinging Blue Jeans, Hot Gossip and many other top acts of the time. After a very successful 15 years with the band Dave felt it was time to move on. He went to Germany and bought a pub, but it wasn’t long before he formed a band and went touring Germany for 5 years. He returned to the UK and moved into another pub in Cambridge, where he put on jam sessions, Dave used to sit in on drums and keep his ‘hand’ in.  He was approached by a guitarist from a rock band and ‘Strickly Bussiness’ was formed again Dave was lead vocals and drums, they toured rock venues up and down the country. Dave moved back to Northampton and joined an Eagles tribute band. He gave up the drums and concentrated more on singing.  He later formed ‘Freebeer’ a very successful duo, working the London Casinos and other top spots both in the UK and Spain. He later met Rudi Fabeck and they formed an Eagles / Beatles tribute duo called ‘The Beagles’  - See them in Benidorm, you won’t be disappointed.
