One of the most popular and successful duos on the Benidorm entertainment scene, The Maxx, have been a duo for the past 15 years. Having had previous experience within bands and duos both Sue and Hal also had successful solo careers within the industry. Their past experiences in the U K include support shows for Suzie Quatro, The Ivy League and The London Boys and they originally formed the duo by the name of Dangerous When Wet.

Hal is also a songwriter and producer and has had one of his albums published by a record company.

They found themselves in Benidorm following an invitation to try their success abroad, originally for 3 months and they are still there 8 yrs later and still going strong and as popular as ever.

Whilst in Benidorm they have performed in most of the Major Cabaret venue's e.g. Valentines, Talk of the Coast, Talk of the Town, Sandra's, Morgan’s ,Carriages, Rockerfellas and have also appeared in the famous Casino in Villajoyosa, which hosts many major shows. They are currently appearing exclusively at the Wheeltappers and Shunters with their Stars In Your Eyes show which features tributes to many of the famous stars Cher, Tina Turner, Bette Midler, Dusty Springfield and many more. Hal plays guitar and sings solos during Sue’s costume changes which include renditions of Hank Marvin and the Shadows and The Sabre Dance. They constantly work to update their shows and all this is done in their own recording studio where Hal produces all their own backing tracks and publicity and they record their own backing vocals. They have produced a variety of CD's and are working on a DVD.

The Maxx is a ‘must see’ act in Benidorm. The Wheeltappers and Shunters club does get quite busy so you are advised to go early to get a table.
